Our working families deserve to feel safe and secure in their communities. I will support policies that help our residents stay in the communities they call home. Too many of our friends and neighbors are having to leave our community because of the sharp rise in the cost of housing. We can help by advocating for dignified wages and essential benefits for workers. We can also help by limiting the increases in rent for our seniors and other people who lived on fixed incomes. We can also attract high-paying jobs by passing policies that are proven to work, such as providing business incentives for hiring locally; our residents get good-paying jobs and businesses get great employees and incentives.
